ABOUT US
We are Gema and Diana Llamazares, we have been working on our gallery project since 2005.
In 2021 we launched a new image, brand and logo with which we embark on an exciting path to the future. In it we are going to merge the spirit of our work, ethics, coherence and tenacity that have characterised us over the last fifteen years with the strength of youth, enthusiasm and new approaches that will only enrich this new project.
THE GALLERY
Since 2005, the Gema Llamazares Gallery, located in Gijón, has been working promoting and spreading contemporary and emerging art. Within the exhibition’s program of the gallery you can see the work of half career artists along with young creators, to whom the gallery offers a platform for the visibility of their projects and a commitment to achieve their artistic career.
Manage by two women Gema and Diana Llamazares, the gallery stands out for its strong female identity, prioritizing work and collaborations with women artists and curators.
Always supporting on a coherent and quality line, and a close relationship with the artists, who bring the gallery a great creative wealth through the use of different disciplines.
Through curated projects, co-productions with other spaces and a strong presence in national and international fairs, Gema Llamazares has built a dynamic project that aims to give visibility to the wide variety of cultural approaches and aesthetic proposals that give meaning to contemporary art.
