Diego Machargo

Oviedo, Asturias - 1990

Diego Machargo Camblor (Oviedo, 1990) is an Asturian artist currently residing in Madrid. He graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo and further expanded his academic training by completing a Master’s in Painting at the University of Lisbon. Later, he pursued a Master’s in Contemporary Art History and Visual Culture coordinated by the Autonomous University of Madrid, Complutense University of Madrid, and the Reina Sofía National Museum of Art.

Diego has participated in various collective exhibitions in both Portugal and Spain and has been selected twice for the Plastic Arts Showcase of the “Culturaquí” program of the Principality of Asturias. Additionally, he has held several solo exhibitions, such as “De pequeño me comí un pony” (2019) at the FOCO Gallery in Lisbon and “Un cuadro es un cuadro es un cuadro” (2023) at the Borrón Hall in Oviedo, as part of the Young Plastic Artists Exhibition Program 2022.

Since 2021, he has also been involved in different projects for the Education Department of the Reina Sofía National Museum of Art in Cultural Mediation, where he coordinated the latest edition of “equipoMOTOR” within the “Communities” area.
