Arancha Goyeneche (Santander, 1967)

Graduated in B.B.A.A. specializing in painting from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

Since the nineties she has been carrying out an artistic activity continuously highlighting solo and group exhibitions in institutions such as the Cervantes Institute in Marrakech, (2019), National Museum of Altamira in Santillana del Mar (2018), Genalguacil Museum in Malaga (2017), Palacete del Embarcadero in Santander (2016), CAB in Burgos (2012), Casyc in Santander (2010), DA2 in Salamanca(2008), Museo Barjola in Gijón (2007), MARCO in Vigo (2006), MAS in Santander (2005), Palacio de Revillagigedo in Gijón (2004), la Casa Encendida in Madrid (2003) Fundación Botín (2002)…. As for galleries she has had numerous solo exhibitions in spaces such as in Gema Llamazares gallery (Gijón 2017), Set Spai d ́Art (Valen- cia 2017), Siboney (Santander, 2014, 2008, 2004, 1998), Espacio Marzana (Bilbao, 2014, 2007), Cánem gallery (Castellón, 2014, 2006), Vértice gallery (Oviedo, 2008), Sicart gallery (Barcelona, 2004), Max Estrella gallery (Madrid, 2002). His work has also been shown in contemporary art fairs such as VOLTA 15, ARCO, Art Brussels, New Art, Art Frankfurt, Tránsito, Artesantander, Arte Lisboa, Espacio Atlántico, Cuarto público, Artesalamanca, Art Valencia or Estampa.

She has received awards such as XIII Muestra de Arte Joven, Acquisition V Certámen de Artes Plásticas Unicaja, Acquisition XV Premio L ́OREAL, Special Mention in the XV Bienal de Pintura de Zamora, Accesit III Premio Joven de Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Acquisition XI Certamen de pintura de la U.N.E.D, Honorable Mention III Premio ABC de fotografía, finalist in the prize Ciutat de Palma Antoni Gelabert de Artes Visuales, among others. She has also received grants from the Diputación Foral de Vizcaya (1991), the Government of Cantabria (1992) and the Botín Foundation (2001). More recently she has received the VI Grant for Research and Artistic Production Espai Rambleta, for her work ‘Oasis and desert’.
